Jazz on the lake

With smooth jazz bouncing off the lake at sunset, you can't get a more relaxed summer evening event than Mendoza's Jazz on the Lake.

On the evenings of 18th, 19th and 20th of February, you can catch the free concerts performed by top jazz musicians and groups from Mendoza and Argentina. Each year the bands are picked by a panel of judges who pick a line up with a good mix of jazz genres. You can expect a mixture of classic jazz, contemporary jazz, fusion jazz, and bands with an element of swing, bossa and tango!

Each evening concert starts at 8pm, and keeps going until just past midnight with five bands on each evening. The last night has the Mendoza Big Band finishing the ceremonies at 11:20pm and you can expect the festival to end on a high note.

The concerts are in front of the Science Museum in the park, with the bands playing on the island in the middle of the lake. There is limited seating so if you want a chair get there early. There's no need for a ticket, just bring your picnic rug and a bottle of bubbly!
