Hot spots for cool Al Fresco dining in Mendoza

As Spring is enthusiastically knocking on our door here in Mendoza, we're all looking for somewhere that we can dine al fresco! The beautiful sunshine and warmer Spring days and evenings make outdoor dining at locations from Anna Bistro to Siete Fuegos a fabulous option.

Here's a round up of some of the best spots to dine al fresco:

Anna Bistro

With the best garden in the city, Anna Bistro is a hot spot for Summer dining among the handsome garden of green trees and blooming flowers. Food verges on fusion sometimes, but your best bet is going for their home-cured smoked salmon, a hunk of the freshly baked brioche bread, a juicy pot of steaming shrimps and a creamy barrel-aged Chardonnay. A perfect Spring lunch!

Francis Mallmann's 1884

Always one of the restaurants on everyone's list when they come to Mendoza, Francis Mallmann's 1884 is owned by the country's most famous chef but has another trump card up its sleeve... a pretty garden that looks onto the flaming outdoor clay stoves and BBQ. As the evenings warm up, the garden is the perfect spot in the city to grab a table and enjoy the great outdoors and flame-grilled food with wines from one of the best cellars in the city.

La Azul

La Azul, in the Uco Valley, really only has one option when it comes to eating -- outside. And thank goodness Mendoza has such a perfect climate to do so! Although inside options are very limited, you really wouldn't want to - because this winery has a beautiful outdoor patio among the vines with an ecletic mix of furniture under the pergola where you'll be served course after course of typical Argentine cuisine while the enthusiastic staff pour you wine from their boutique winery.

Francis Mallmann's Siete Fuegos at The Vines Resort & Spa

With another unbeatable Uco Valley location, looking up at a 180 degree view of the Andes, Francis Mallmann's Siete Fuegos at The Vines Resort & Spamakes the mountains look just a stone's throw away. Whether you are going to taste and view Francis Mallmann's irreverantly impressive Seven Fires, cooked on the Patio del Fuegos, or if you want to enjoy a sumptuous salad or succulently cooked fish, for outside views and al fresco dining, this is a hard spot to beat.
