Tupungato Divino

·

tupungato divino, outsideThe name gives it away, but this restaurant overlooking Tupungato volcano is simply quite divine. An intimate restaurant with a terrace and garden where you can watch fish cash each other in the small river and you can gaze upon the handsome hump of Mendoza's most famous extinct volcano.

Specialising in all Uco Valley wines you will find both boutique and larger producers from across the valley with a wide range of varieties. This isn't the sort of restaurant where you need to worry about what you are pairing your wine with though because everyone gets to try a great array of flavours with the tasting menu.

For starters everyone is brought a platter with lots of colourful nibbles of different appetisers, giving you a nice chance to play with the different flavours and your wine choice, or choices (don't be shy, order a couple bottles and cork them to take home is my recommendation).

tupungato divino startersThe main course is always an option of some of their specialities which use local produce, like trout from the nearby trout farm, or a large piece of juicy argentine steak, or their homemade pastas. Leave some space in your tummy though as dessert is another mixed platter of mini desserts so you can have your cake and eat it too.

As one of those irritating dinner partners myself (I'm always asking to try a bit of everyone else's), Tupungato Divino is the perfect solution - you can enjoy a little bit of everything at once. With a divine view to boot.
