As the first high-end distillery in Mendoza (and, we hope not the last), Tapaus is a worthwhile timeout from the bodega circuit. With state of the art pot stills and a master distiller from Europe, they produce grappas, piscos, gin and their emblematic Malbec Brandy, among other spirits.

The distillery's products, free of additives, demonstrate an ideal balance between alcohol and aroma. Their liquers, such as pink grapefruit and boysenberry, reflect the true taste of the fruit. Besides the spirits, the architecture also makes Tapaus worth a trip: the structure was built with recycled materials from oil and gas refineries, along with stones from local riverbeds and the spirits use recycled water from the Mendoza River. Truly nothing goes to waste at this unique location.
