Every week we carry out a blind tasting of wine samples provided by many different wineries to choose wines for our Acequia Wineclub, Case Shipping Program, The Vines Tasting Room and Vinoteca.

Gisela and Juan - Wine Servers

We are a diverse team; sommeliers, students of enology, wine marketing directors, designers, wine servers and even our accountants sometimes join us. For me it is great having the opinion of tasters from different backgrounds, since it is like our customers.. not all of them know or like the same style of wine. Yet…usually when you have a great wine in front of you… you may know less or more about wine… everybody loves it!

Today we tasted 4 whites and 12 reds.

Among whites we liked the most were:
· Pulenta Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2008
· Las Perdices Pinot Gris 2008

Among the reds, we liked the following wines:
· Nomade Reserva Malbec 2004
· Nomade Reserva Syrah 2003
· La Perdices Tinamu 2006
· Gran Lorca Poético Petit Verdot 2006

We focus mainly in boutique wineries or limited productions of wines. We try to pick wines for our wine club members that will be unique and of good value. We want you to taste great Malbecs of course!! But also we want you to learn from all the other great varietals we grow in Argentina!
